Your new role

As a CNC Operator, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's mission to deliver high-quality mining equipment and heavy machinery to its clients. Working with Okuma 3/4 axis CNC machines, lathes, and other essential equipment, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating these machines to produce precision-engineered components that meet strict industry standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality will directly impact the success of complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to the highest specifications. As part of a skilled team of machinists and engineers, you will collaborate closely to optimise production processes and continuously improve efficiency. This role is integral to the company's ability to uphold its reputation for excellence and innovation in the metal and engineering industry, contributing significantly to both organisational goals and client satisfaction.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience operating CNC machines
• Familiarity with Okuma equipment is advantageous
• Understanding of CNC programming is advantageous but not essential
• Ability to pass a police check due to government contracts
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality control
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment
