About the Role – As the Second in Charge, you will play a key role in shaping the service’s educational direction and practice, including:

• Mentoring and coaching educators to enhance their practice, reflective thinking, and programming skills
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by embedding critical reflection and best practice into daily routines
• Supporting the team to ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), including NQS and EYLF/MTOP
• Collaborating with children, families, and the wider community to ensure the program is inclusive and child-centred
• Maintaining thorough documentation of the educational program and linking learning outcomes to activities
• Leading team discussions around planning, documentation, and observations
• Contributing to Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) development and review processes

About You

• Previous experience working with children in Early Years or OSHC
• A relevant qualification preferred but not required
• Current Working With Children Check
• Sound knowledge of MTOP, NQF, and child development principles
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Most importantly, a genuine passion for working with children and making a difference in their daily lives
• MUST be a Permanent Resident or Citizen
