About Us
At Harold Hawthorne Community Centre, we're more than just a local organisation – we're a passionate team dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors and people with disabilities in the Carlisle community. As a not-for-profit, we offer a wide range of services including community activities, in-home support, independent living within our retirement village, and social housing. We aim to empower individuals to live independently, with dignity, and to be a vibrant part of their community.

You'll also accompany clients to important appointments such as medical visits, banking, and social outings. Beyond these day-to-day tasks, you'll play a key role in monitoring and updating client support plans, ensuring our services always meet their evolving needs, and maintaining accurate records.

About You

• Access to a licensed, reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• A National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 6 months or willingness to acquire one)
• A valid First Aid Certificate (preferred, but not required)

Additionally, you'll have excellent organisational and time-management skills, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for detail when it comes to client progress notes. The ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a team is essential, as is an understanding of workplace health and safety protocols relevant to the role.

If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others and possess the qualities we’re looking for, we would love to hear from you!
