Are you a passionate, dedicated new graduate or learning career clinician looking to make a difference in children's lives? Hello Kids Therapy Hub is excited to welcome a Graduate or Early Career Speech Pathologist to our supportive and close-knit team in North Melbourne.
About the role:
As our newest Speech Pathologist, you will support children aged 2-14 to achieve their goals. You'll assess, treat, and help children with diverse communication needs, working closely with families to create personalised therapy plans.
Candidates must be Australian permanent residents to be eligible for this position.
Your caseload will include a mix of NDIS, Medicare, and private billing patients, with opportunities for community visits to schools and kinders.
Provisional registration with Speech Pathology Australia is acceptable for this role.
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
Meeting with parents or caregivers to understand their child's needs and gather comprehensive background information.
Liaise with families to establish child and family-centred goals that align with their values and priorities.
Creating personalised, strengths-based therapy plans to support children in reaching their communication and developmental goals.
Communicating with other health and education professionals involved in each child's care to ensure cohesive and well-rounded support.
Learning to conduct standardised Speech Pathology and developmental assessments.
Writing NDIS reports and review reports.
Regularly providing written and verbal information and feedback to families following intervention and assessment sessions.
Running groups (social skills, literacy) where the need arises (training will be provided for this before running groups).
Developing engaging materials and resources for in-clinic therapy sessions and home programs to reinforce progress.

A recognised degree or qualification in Speech Pathology
Candidates must hold either a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Speech Pathology
A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Current First Aid, Working With Children Check, and Police Clearance
Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (or eligibility to register)
Professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or a willingness to obtain it)
Passion for working with children, young people, and families
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enthusiasm to learn, grow, and contribute to our team
