We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Programs Officer – Systems to help shape the future of our library services. In this pivotal role, you'll support the delivery of accessible, responsive, and innovative programs.

  • Permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week).
  • Remuneration package of $2,582.98 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,099.58 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

As the Programs Officer - Systems, you will:

  • Maintain and enhance our library app – from usability to promotions.
  • Support and collaborate with our Systems Officer and IT teams to ensure all digital services (hardware & software) run seamlessly.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Agile Library Service technology to keep us mobile and connected.
  • Deliver engaging programs with a focus on digital literacy and inclusion.
  • Research and trial new tech to improve the customer experience – your insights will help shape future service delivery.
  • Keep our website accessible, up-to-date, and user-friendly.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for digital processes and systems.
  • Participate in circulation desk shifts and actively engage in team planning and collaboration.
  • Deliver Outreach Services as required, including the delivery of programs and events for children, families and schools.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in library services or previous experience in library systems support and library-related technology.
  • A strong understanding of library systems (e.g., RFID, LMS, eLibrary platforms).
  • Confident with app configuration, website maintenance, and general IT troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage time, and work both independently and in a team.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service, continuous improvement, and adaptability.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as required.
