Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in your community? We're seeking a motivated and detail-driven Contracts Officer to join our Procurement Team and support the efficient delivery of goods and services across Council.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring our procurement processes are transparent, compliant, and aligned with best practice - helping us deliver quality outcomes for our residents and stakeholders.
- Permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week).
- Remuneration package of $3,087.34 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,704.81 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

As the Contracts Officer, you will be responsible to:
- Work with customers to prepare and release tender documentation to potential suppliers.
- Coordinate the operation of tender review panels.
- Oversee most aspects of tender closing and tender analysis including debriefing unsuccessful tenderers as required.
- Assist in the awarding of organisation-wide service contracts relating to materials, suppliers and speciality services.
- Undertake research and preparation of final contract documentation.
- Review and report on the utilisation of contractors secured via service contracts and their performance.
- Assist Project Managers with their appraisal and reporting on contractor performance.
- Provide contracts and/or projects information and protocols to internal customers.
- Arrange and deliver training programs to staff utilising the services offered by Procurement.
- Utilise and maintain databases and electronic record systems.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Qualifications or strong experience in Procurement, Contracts, or Administration (e.g. Certificate IV in Business Administration).
- A current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to manage time and priorities in a busy environment.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
- A team player who can also work independently and adapt to change.
