- Commencing salary at $2,591.89 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,019.68 gross per fortnight based on part-time hours of work + superannuation (12%).

Your new role:
Reporting to the Information Management Coordinator, this position is responsible for the coordination of systems and processes to ensure the provision of quality customer service and effective delivery of information to Councillors and the community in accordance with legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating the processing of applications for information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPAA), the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act and Copyright Act, ensuring legislative compliance.
- Reviewing and maintaining Council's Privacy Management Framework.
- Answering enquiries and providing professional advice to customers, key stakeholders, and the Office of the Information Commissioner.
- Provide advice, support, and training to employees in relation to access to information policies and procedures.
What you will need to succeed:
We are looking for someone with:
- Qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Certificate IV in Business Administration.
- Relevant experience in research and/or legislative based role, preferably with previous experience in dealing with GIPAA applications.
- The ability to interpret, understand and apply legislation, policy, and procedures to achieve outcomes, especially those that deal with the management of and / or access to information.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and administrative skills, enjoyment of multi-tasking and applying a problem-solving approach to your work; and
- The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Candidates with previous GIPA experience will be highly regarded. Council would also provide the successful candidate the opportunity to complete a GIPA Introduction and Advanced training course.
