Senior Development Manager – High-Profile Projects | Front-End Focus

Are you ready to take the lead on some of Sydney’s most exciting property developments? This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Development Manager to join a very exciting Private developer and play a pivotal role in shaping iconic mixed-use, residential, hotel and retail projects.

With a strong pipeline of landmark developments, you’ll work closely with directors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver projects that redefine luxury, community, and urban living.

About the Role

In this role you will be at the forefront of front-end development — driving feasibilities, acquisitions, financial analysis, and risk assessment — while working across all stages of planning and delivery. You’ll bring commercial acumen, creativity, and hands-on experience to complex projects with end values ranging from $60m boutique residential through to $800m+ large-scale mixed-use precincts.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading feasibility studies, acquisitions, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making.

Driving design development, planning, and approvals, including leading consultant teams.

Preparing and managing detailed financial analysis, funding strategies, and risk assessments.

Coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and consultants to ensure alignment across marketing, design, and delivery.

Guiding projects through DA processes, design competitions, and repositioning strategies.

Contributing to the identification and evaluation of new acquisition opportunities.

Supporting the repositioning and refurbishment of existing high-profile assets.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated, commercially astute Senior Development Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You’ll need to bring a broad range of skills, spanning acquisitions, feasibilities, project leadership, and stakeholder management.

To be successful, you will have:

Proven experience as a Development Manager / Senior Development Manager across residential, hotel, retail, or mixed-use projects.

Strong skills in feasibility modelling, acquisitions, and financial analysis.

Demonstrated ability to manage design development, planning approvals, and consultant engagement.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic oversight and detailed project involvement.

Tertiary qualifications in property, finance, or a related discipline.
