At Smoke Alarm Safety (SAS - Smoke, Electrical & Gas), we’re a growing compliance services company working alongside some of Melbourne’s most reputable real estate agencies. We specialise in smoke alarm inspections, electrical and gas safety servicing, residential upgrades, and Minimum Rental Standard checks. We take pride in offering a clean, efficient, and non-labour-intensive working environment.

The Role

We’re seeking a qualified Gas Plumber to subcontract to us on a flexible, ongoing basis. Initially, this role will be 1 day per fortnight, with the potential to expand as our client base continues to grow.

Your work will involve:

Completing residential gas safety checks

Performing rectification works where required

Ensuring all work is compliant with current regulations

Using our platform to manage and record all job details

This role is ideal for someone who values consistent, straightforward compliance work and enjoys the flexibility of subcontracting.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who:

Holds current Gas Fitting licence

Has a strong understanding of gas safety regulations

Possesses previous experience in residential gas servicing (preferred)

Has a valid Driver’s Licence and their own vehicle/tools

Is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Is comfortable with structured, repetitive compliance tasks
