About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Consultant to play a pivotal role in building inspections, defect analysis, and remediation strategy development. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting, effective project delivery, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct and assist with building inspections to identify causes of damage — including design faults, construction defects, or maintenance issues.

Analyse defect causes and develop appropriate remediation strategies.

Prepare detailed building inspection reports and remedial Scopes of Work.

Monitor and report on repair works, ensuring alignment with approved scopes.

Maintain strong client relationships through professional and timely communication.

Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering technical excellence and growth.

Manage multiple assignments while achieving client and financial outcomes.

Willing to be onsite 5 days per week - Lane Cove location

Skills & Experience

5+ years experience in the building and construction industry (residential high-rise and low-rise experience highly regarded).

Expertise in defect analysis and water intrusion investigations.

Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, the NCC, and industry best practices.

Experience in remedial consultancy is highly desirable.

Degree or equivalent qualification in Building, Construction, or Engineering.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Strong time management, resilience, and proactive problem-solving skills.

Professional, client-focused approach with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
