About the role - 12 Month Maternity Leave Cover

Join us as a Financial Control & Reporting Accountant in this fixed-term role that will see you take ownership within our accounting system– Technology One, for core end of month reporting and control activities, supporting operational outcomes across the finance function. You’ll be responsible to execute on end-of-month processing, including general ledger reconciliations, preparation of accounting entries, while contributing to monthly management reporting and annual statutory reporting requirements. The requirements of this role:

Manage the preparation of Monthly Management reporting activities for internal and external stakeholders

Ensuring reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and completeness.

Support finance members transactional queries (accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll), with focus on maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

·Support Drive improvements in transaction processing and support the integrity of the general ledger

Support on finance related compliance and risk management activities including internal and external audit programs, taxation matters and insurance arrangements

Facilitate ongoing development of the Technology One finance system to support broader business strategy

Support the ERP Technology One improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce risk

Provide technical support to existing finance team members, fostering collaboration and capability growth.

Perform other financial duties consistent with the role and capabilities as required

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of policies and procedures, as well as the maintenance and enhancement of the Technology One ERP system, aligning with internal strategies.

About You

Strong preference for those with existing experience and proficiency in Technology One accounting system

Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, or similar

Bring 5 years of experience in managing the financial reporting, accounting and control functions within a medium-sized business.

Demonstrated experience in producing statutory financial reports, management accounts

Demonstrated experience in the investigation and management of technical accounting issues including the application of new accounting standards

Possess a strong grasp of technical accounting principles, including knowledge of applying accounting standards.

Demonstrated experience in supporting ERP system management and development

Demonstrated experience in the management of financial compliance including taxation, insurance and audit programs

Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in various software applications.

Have practical experience using ERP systems.

Your educational background and solid practical experience in financial accounting, combined with your technical skills in software and ERP systems, position you as a well-rounded candidate ready to contribute effectively to our team.
