About the Firm
PERSOL is partnering with a long-standing and highly regarded national accounting and advisory firm to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant for their Sydney office. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values ongoing development, work-life balance, and delivering excellent outcomes for clients.

The Role
This full-time position is ideal for a confident and technically skilled accountant who enjoys a mix of compliance and client-facing work. You'll play a key role in managing client files, mentoring junior team members, and supporting process improvements across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and reconciliations for various entity types
• Manage GST, FBT, payroll tax, and land tax compliance requirements
• Respond to ATO and other regulatory correspondence independently
• Maintain regular client contact and handle day-to-day queries
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and client outcomes
• Participate in firm initiatives and contribute to a positive team culture

About You
We're looking for someone with:

• 2+ years' experience in a public practice firm
• CA or CPA qualified or in the process
• Strong technical tax and accounting knowledge
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• SMSF experience is a bonus, but not essential
• Exposure to a smaller or mid-tier firm is highly regarded
