Youth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. We offer crisis accommodation and housing services, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, life skills and employment programs, cultural support and community engagement, among other services. We focus on early interventions that empower young people and strengthen communities.
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Youth Off The Streets delivers accredited vocational education and training (VET) courses for young people and adults in the wider community, as well as industry professionals looking to upskill their qualifications. With a strong foundation in frontline youth work, our training is informed by decades of experience supporting vulnerable young people across Australia.

About the role:
The RTO Sales Specialist is responsible for driving student enrolments and business growth by promoting YOTS accredited and non-accredited training programs. This role involves engaging with prospective students, employers, and industry partners to identify training needs and provide tailored solutions aligned with compliance and funding requirements.
This is a full-time role offered on a 6-month maximum term contract, with the potential of continuing.
A key focus of this role is driving student enrolments into Youth Off The Streets’ nationally recognised qualifications, including:
CHC22015 Certificate II in Work Skills and Vocational Pathways
CHC40421 Certificate IV in Youth Work
CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services
CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management
BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain referral networks through schools, community organisation
Attend expos, events, school visits, and community meetings to promote YOTS RTO programs
Respond promptly to all inquiries and guide them through eligibility.
Work closely with the RTO Operations and Delivery to plan recruitment strategies for course intakes
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of course structures, unit offerings, job outcomes.
Identify barriers to enrolment and provide appropriate solutions, such as connecting potential students to LLN support or wraparound services
Follow up with enquiries to maximise conversion.
Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to reporting.
Comply with all RTO and ASQA requirements during the enrolment process
Stay up to date with changes in vocational education, funding programs, and industry trends.
KPI
Meet or exceed monthly enrolment and revenue targets.
Leverage existing organisational and personal networks to initiate early engagement with employers, referral partners, and prospective students.
Establish and maintain a consistent pipeline of new client partnerships, with a focus on driving student enrolments and expanding referral networks to support sustainable growth.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for all leads and clients.
Ensure compliance with all relevant funding and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
The person we seek will ideally have the following:
Knowledge of the VET sector and course eligibility
Sales or recruitment experience within education, training or employment services
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Understanding of the community services and youth sectors
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to work independently
Knowledge of RTO compliance and student recruitment processes.
Has a minimum of 3-5 years experience within VET education
Sales or recruitment experience within education, training or employment services
Ideally has held TAE qualification and experience in delivering
Experience working with disadvantaged or marginalised communities
Certifications & Licences
Working with children’s check, police check, valid driver’s licence and full Australian working rights

Youth Off The Streets is a non-denominational community organisation working for disadvantaged young people who may be homeless, drug dependent and/or recovering from abuse. Youth Off The Streets supports these young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal trauma such as neglect, physical, psychological and/or emotional abuse.
It is our goal that these young people will leave our care drug free, with a high school education, living skills and a full-time or part time job in hand.
