Company Accountant – Growing Food Manufacturing Business

We’re a fast-growing, family-owned food manufacturer looking for a proactive CPA to step into a hands-on accounting role with real impact. Based on-site at our factory, you’ll work closely with the Managing Director to support data-driven decisions and help shape the future of the business.

You’ll report to our off-site Group Financial Controller, supervise one part-time team member, and play a key role in driving operational excellence as we expand. This role is ideal for an ambitious accountant who wants more than just reporting — someone ready to be a trusted 2IC in finance.

What you’ll be doing

Preparing monthly management accounts and accrual journals

Reconciling GL control accounts

Processing supplier payments and payroll

Preparing and lodging BAS

Managing cashflow and banking

Overseeing stocktake, AP/AR, and inventory valuation

Coordinating month, quarter, and year-end deliverables for management and the Board

Identifying and implementing process improvements to support growth

What we’re looking for

CPA (completed or in progress) with a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Commerce

Xero experience (essential)

Exposure to Fishbowl or other manufacturing systems

Strong Excel skills (advanced preferred)

Proficient in Word and Outlook

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience

Experience with Aussie Timesheets payroll system (preferred)
