The Morning Star Hotel in Williamstown is looking for a dedicated hospitality professional to join the management team. The Role:

We're currently seeking a dedicated full-time Duty Manager to join and support our management team. This pivotal role ensures the smooth operation of the pub during service times, providing leadership and support to our staff, and delivering outstanding service to our patrons. The ideal candidate thrives in a lively, service focused environment and has a passion for food and beverage.

Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

Staff Management: Lead and inspire our team, conduct pre-shift briefings, ensure staff are maintaining service standards and manage any staff issues that arise, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Shift Management: Oversee the organisation of your service shift, act as a liaison between front of house and kitchen, and ensure opening/closing procedureS are completed. You'll also be responsible for managing any unexpected challenges or customer issues that arise, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Financial Management: Take responsibility for nightly cash handling procedures, including accurate cash-up and reconciliation, to ensure financial accountability.

Responsible Service of Alcohol: Ensure all staff adhere to responsible service of alcohol guidelines, maintaining a safe and compliant environment for our patrons.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar role within a food and beverage focused establishment

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Strong product knowledge across beer, wine and cocktails prdeferred

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays is essential.

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
