Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Surgical Admission Unit (SAU) and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at Logan Hospital. In this senior leadership role, you will drive excellence in patient care, workforce development, and operational performance. You will:
- Lead and coordinate SAU and PACU to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Provide effective leadership across nursing, financial, and human resource management.
- Implement quality and risk management frameworks to ensure best practice and compliance.
- Foster a supportive, education-focused environment that promotes workforce development and innovation.
About you:
You are a transformational leader with advanced clinical knowledge and the ability to inspire and empower nursing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Advanced clinical skills and knowledge in Surgical Admission and Post Anaesthetic Care.
- Proven experience in operational leadership, including rostering, workforce and budget management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to quality and evidence-informed care.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
