About this opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership in the planning, analysis, and delivery of transport and traffic services. In this role, you'll lead key projects, offer expert advice on network modelling and asset performance, and mentor technical staff. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable transport solutions.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transport Engineering (or related field)
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
- Strong experience in traffic modelling, technical reporting, and project delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in asset management principles and systems
- Current QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence (or equivalent)
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualifications, local government experience, and familiarity with GIS tools or Mackay Regional Council's planning scheme.
