Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in e-commerce and retail platforms to join our digital transformation team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team, ensuring seamless implementation, enhancement, and optimization of our SAP Hybris (Commerce Cloud) e-commerce platform.

This role requires an individual with excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of digital commerce operations, and the ability to translate complex business needs into functional and technical requirements. Experience in SAP Hybrisis highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders (business, IT, vendors) to gather, analyze, and document e-commerce requirements.

Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for technical teams.

Work closely with developers, architects, and QA to ensure solutions align with business goals and technical feasibility.

Act as a product owner proxy for SAP Hybris features, ensuring backlog prioritization and sprint planning.

Perform gap analysis between current system functionality and desired future state.

Support system integration requirements across CRM, ERP, Payment Gateways, OMS, Marketing Tools, and Analytics platforms.

Participate in UAT planning and execution, ensuring business sign-off and successful release adoption.

Document process flows, data mappings, and solution designs to support development and testing.

Monitor e-commerce KPIs and identify areas for system and process improvement.

Act as a bridge between business teams (marketing, merchandising, retail, supply chain) and technical teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in e-commerce, digital retail, or online platforms.

Strong knowledge of e-commerce operations (catalog, pricing, promotions, customer journey, cart/checkout, payments, order fulfillment).

Experience working with SAP Hybris (Commerce Cloud) – functional or technical understanding highly preferred.

Solid understanding of systems integration with ERP, CRM, OMS, and payment solutions.

Proficiency in documenting user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and test cases.

Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct data and process analysis.

Excellent communication skills – able to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as Jira/Confluence.

Nice-to-Have

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in relation to e-commerce.

Knowledge of retail business processes (pricing, inventory, logistics).

Experience with digital marketing and personalization tools (Adobe, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.).

Basic technical skills (SQL, API understanding, JSON/XML, data mapping).

Education & Background

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.

4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2–3 years in e-commerce/retail.

SAP Hybris project experience is a significant advantage.
