We have an opportunity available for an experienced Duty Manager to join our amazing Front Office team in our multi-award-winning, 202 Villa, beach front resort. Working closely with the Front Office Manager, you will develop and nurture a strong team that are encouraged to cooperate both internally and externally, whilst displaying the high level of customer service and attention to detail that we pride ourselves on.
This role is directly responsible for supervising and coordinating the Front Office team to ensure that daily activities and duties are completed. In the absence of a Senior Manager you are responsible for the smooth running of the resort. Your passion for displaying authentic hospitality and delivering outstanding moments of customer service for our guests will see you excel.
We are looking for someone who can quickly establish rapport, stay calm under pressure, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position working across a 7-day rotating roster, between 7am and 11pm, we require your flexibility to work both morning and afternoon shifts. Ideally you will be working in a similar role within a 5 start hotel or resort environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar Duty Manager role within a 4-5 star Hotel/Resort
- Demonstrated ability to train, lead and motivate a customer focused team
- You must be a permanent resident or citizen, we are not able to consider someone who is on a WHV or Student visa.
- Understanding of budget control and rostering
- Well presented with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office or Opera Cloud systems is essential
- Strong understanding of IT systems and maintenance
- Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
- Full availability to work weekends and public holidays
- Remain calm and effective in emergency and high pressure situations
- Current drivers licence is essential
- First Aid Certificate desirable
