The Kiama Leagues Club is a very modern Club that has taken full advantage of its location with plenty of glass, flowing rooms and lovely open areas. With approximately 90 staff, Bistro, Bars, and regular entertainment, this is a busy, popular venue.
The Club is seeking an experienced Duty Manager - Full Time to join the busy team servicing a medium sized Club in its entirety with plans of growth well underway.
About the role:
This role will be the critical link between senior management and operations; suitable for a hands-on, experienced hospitality leader. As the escalation point for all guests, a customer-centric approach will be crucial to your success in this role and ensuring that service standards of the venue are met. You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operations of the club on a shift-by-shift basis.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensure staff and patrons adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and legislation
Enforce all AML/CTF, Legislation, Self-Exclusion and patron welfare checks
Direct staff on shift and allocate breaks in accordance with operational requirements
Develop and maintain positive relations with members including managing patrons and member complaints in a timely and effective manner
Oversee external contractors, security, maintenance of facilities and that WHS standards are met for the Club to ensure staff and patron safety
Opening/ closing procedures including shift report
Respond to first aid and/or emergency situations to ensure staff and patron safety, accurately record any incidents and report
Reconciliation of till floats, ensure sufficient cash flow on shift and denominations meet operational needs, verify and report any cash variations, and complete banking.
Overseeing smooth gaming operations including clearance, troubleshooting machines, fixing and reporting machine faults
About you:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role, demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing team members
Extensive knowledge of operations over all departments in a Club including gaming and food and beverage services, and all relevant legislation
Passionate about the hospitality industry and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience
Inspiring and influential leadership and management skills and experience in mentoring and developing team members
RSA, RCG, Advanced RCG
First Aid Certificate
NSW Food Authority Basic food handling certificate
