About the Client
Our client is a well-established organisation in the events and exhibitions space, operating one of Brisbane’s most prominent venues. With a busy calendar of large-scale events, they work closely with a broad range of internal teams and external clients to deliver exceptional experiences.

They are now seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their supportive finance team. This opportunity offers the chance to step into a pivotal role within a high-volume, fast-paced environment where attention to detail and stakeholder collaboration are key.

About the Role
Reporting to a dynamic Financial Controller and working alongside one other AR team member, you’ll be responsible for a variety of accounts receivable and administrative tasks across multiple events — from pre-event deposits to post-event settlements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing complex, multi-stage event invoicing (deposits, milestone payments, post-event)
• Receipting, banking, allocations, and client account reconciliations
• Liaising with internal departments to gather accurate billing inputs
• Handling queries from clients and internal teams, resolving discrepancies professionally
• Supporting tailored payment plans for events
• Generating aged debtor reports (daily/weekly)
• Providing ad hoc finance support and participating in broader finance processes

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or finance administration
• Experience managing AR processes in the events or projects space highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills
• Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining a strong team spirit
