The Role
This is a casual role with a minimum of 12 hours per week. Mondays and Tuesdays are essential, with extra hours able to be worked across the rest of the week. All start and finish times are flexible.
You will own day-to-day administration, bookkeeping, and payroll, while also contributing to office management and helping to maintain a positive, collaborative workplace culture. This role may suit someone returning to the workforce or seeking flexible hours to balance other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll and Finance
End-to-end payroll processing in Xero for 20–30 employees
Accurately calculate overtime, incentives, reimbursements, and travel or vehicle allowances
Client invoicing aligned to timesheets, project budgets and payment terms
Supplier bill entry, bank reconciliations, and payment scheduling in Xero
Generating and uploading payroll and accounts payable payment files into the banking platform for processing
Support compliance tasks including BAS, IAS, PAYG, superannuation, and Worksafe reporting
Administration and HR
New starter setup across Google Workspace, Harvest, Trello, Forecast, and welcome communications
Project setup and close-off, including budgets and client records
Maintain equipment register, bookings, and servicing schedules
Prepare letters of offer and employment agreements from templates
Manage staff calendars, leave approvals, profiles, and internal communications
Support onboarding, inductions, and team events
Skills and Experience
Demonstrated payroll experience with 20–30 employees, including overtime and allowance calculations
Strong bookkeeping and administration background
Proficiency with Xero and Google Workspace; Harvest, Trello, DocHub, and Connecteam are a plus
High attention to detail and strong organisation
Clear communication and the ability to manage competing priorities
