This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Wildlife Health Australia team in this newly created role, offering the opportunity to make a real impact by strengthening our sustainability and expanding our reach.
Who we are:
Wildlife Health Australia (WHA) is the national body for wildlife health in Australia, and initially began as a national initiative of the Australian Government in 2002. Our purpose is to advance wildlife health for a healthier future for all.
WHA brings together experts, governments and communities to understand and respond to wildlife health issues. We help build resilient systems, amplify the needs of wildlife, create and share knowledge and embed the One Health approach.
About the role:
We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to develop and implement funding strategies required to identify and secure funding, partnerships and growth opportunities that support the organisation’s vision and long-term sustainability.
Help shape the future of wildlife health in Australia and beyond in this newly created role by leading the delivery of WHA’s funding strategy. You’ll take the lead in shaping and delivering the funding strategy, ensuring it aligns with our strategic priorities and long-term vision. You’ll identify and secure new opportunities through research and innovative initiatives, while driving strategies to diversify our income streams. From developing and overseeing compelling proposals to managing grants throughout their lifecycle, you’ll be at the centre of our growth and sustainability.
Working closely with the executive team and reporting to the CEO, you’ll provide strategic input and coordination to strengthen engagement with key stakeholders. You’ll also maintain a clear funding pipeline and track performance against targets, turning insights into action and impact.
