Aurora Spa & Bathhouse is a flagship wellness destination within the five-star InterContinental Sorrento. We are seeking a Reception Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team and ensure every guest interaction reflects our calm, professional and retreat-like ethos.
The Role
As Reception Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operation of our reception area. Your role includes leading and supporting our Wellness Advisors, coordinating guest services, managing retail and administrative functions, and ensuring the smooth flow of bookings and enquiries. You will set the tone for guest interactions, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, care and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day reception operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences
• Lead, mentor and roster the Wellness Advisor team to deliver excellence
• Manage bookings, cancellations and enquiries using spa software
• Support retail operations: achieve sales targets, manage inventory, and introduce new brands
• Handle guest relations with warmth, professionalism and solution-focused care
• Perform administrative tasks including daily reconciliations and reporting
• Collaborate with the Wellness Director and fellow Supervisors to maintain smooth operations
• Act as a point of contact during emergencies, ensuring safety and compliance
• Contribute to process improvements and elevate the guest experience
About You
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a five-star spa, resort, or luxury hospitality environment (highly desirable)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Proficiency in spa management/reservation software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of spa services and treatments is an advantage
• Current First Aid Certificate and RSA preferred
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
