About the role

CJN Automotive T/A Bridgestone Select Wilsonton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Mechanic to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. This full-time role is crucial in supporting the smooth operation and maintenance of our automotive services, ensuring our customers receive the highest quality workmanship and customer service.

What you'll be doing

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical and electronic issues

Test and inspect vehicle components to identify faults and determine appropriate repair actions

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Adhere to all health, safety and quality standards

Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with clients on the progress of their vehicle repairs

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics, with a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

Proven experience as a qualified mechanic, ideally with 3+ years in a similar role

Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, electrical and electronics

Proficiency with computerised diagnostic equipment and scan tools

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Good communication and customer service skills

Basic computer skills for workshop management systems and digital documentation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry changes

Valid Australian driver's licence with clean driving record

Australian citizenship or valid work visa with unrestricted work rights

Own comprehensive set of professional mechanic tools
