About the role

This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a skilled Forklift and Diesel Mechanic to join the team at Queensland Hire. As a Forklift and Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of the company's fleet of forklifts, trucks and other equipment.

What you'll be doing

Conducting scheduled maintenance and servicing on forklifts and trucks

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklift and diesel engines

Upgrading and retrofitting forklift and diesel equipment to improve efficiency and performance

Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities

Providing input on equipment replacements and capital investments

Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a related trade

Proven experience as a Forklift and Diesel Mechanic

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent knowledge of forklift and diesel engine maintenance and repair

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to workplace health and safety
