We’re looking for a versatile operator to step into a hands-on leadership role with our growing team at Gamble Excavations. This isn’t your standard “machine operator” job, it’s a mix of operating, supervision, and taking ownership onsite.

About the Role:

You’ll be our go-to all-rounder, taking the reins on site so the director can focus on growing the business. Everyday is different, examples of day to day works looks like:

Operating excavators & posi-tracks etc (experience is a must. Non negotiable).

Jump in the truck if required (HR licence highly desired BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER!).

Supervising team on small private jobs through to light-civil and subdivision projects.

Liaise with clients & supervisors: keeping jobs running smooth, safe, and professional.

Assist with estimating/quoting (favoured, but not essential).

Use your mechanical know-how to problem-solve on site (favoured, but not essential).

What We’re After:

Machine experience (think Excavators / posi-tracks / Dozers etc) (non-negotiable).

Truck driving skills (HR licence highly regarded BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER!).

Leadership ability: can guide a crew without the ego.

Strong people skills – easygoing but professional with clients.

Team-minded, reliable, and practical.

Estimating/quoting knowledge = big plus!

Mechanically minded = another big plus!

Casual role with full-time hours (option to go permanent for the right person in future).

Modern, well-maintained gear: Excavators (3.5T–22T), posi-tracks, tippers etc.

Mostly Sunshine Coast work. Occasionally Gympie / Moreton Bay (very rare at the moment).
