Altaira is currently hiring a Trainer and Assessor with over three years experience to provide education through our RTO (Registered Training Organisation). As a Trainer and Assessor, you will play a crucial role in delivering nationally recognised qualifications and ensuring that students are provided with a high standard of education and training. You will be based in Campbelltown SA, working within a friendly and supportive team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging and effective training sessions in accordance with industry standards and training packages.

Developing and maintaining training and assessment materials that meet the needs of learners and align with the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Conducting assessments in line with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence (valid, reliable, flexible, and fair) and maintaining accurate student records.

Engaging with industry to ensure training practices are relevant and up to date.

Supporting learners through their vocational journey, providing guidance, feedback, and additional support where necessary.

Participating in validation and moderation of assessments to maintain compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Mandatory:

CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)

HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication

TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Competent in the delivery of HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (new learner & refresher course)

Competent in the delivery of HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid

Competent in the delivery of HLTWH5005 - Conduct Manual Tasks Safely

Industry currency and vocational competence in the relevant area of training.

Desirable:

Knowledge, understanding and commitment to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015

Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training

Demonstrated knowledge of and understanding of the function of Training Packages;

Demonstrated work experience and currency in the industry sector being taught

Computer skills to the level required for preparing Learners Guides and Assessments Records, i.e. Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint

Research skills to the level required to maintain knowledge of current VET issues

Skills and Attributes:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.

High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and compliance.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Passion for delivering high-quality training that meets the needs of industry and learners.
