The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Kewdale. This role will see you working closely in a team of electrical and structural engineers, along with our projects, fabrication, and fit-out team,s to contribute to the full lifecycle of projects, from design and manufacture through to delivery and maintenance of our switchboards and switchboard rooms and beyond.

Based at our Kewdale site, you will be able to see the full lifecycle of your designs brought into operation from design to completion.

The role will suit someone who can work in a fast-paced, multi-project team that likes to solve engineering challenges and can ensure compliance with industry standards through analysis, testing, and innovation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Working closely with the structural team to ensure client specifications and Australian standards and met and surpassed

Designing electrical systems for switchboards and switchboard rooms, including lighting, air-con, power distribution, and control systems

Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and internal QA/QC processes.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with scope, timelines, and safety expectations.

Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers and designers.

Contribute to continuing design and engineering improvements, including technical innovation, modularisation, and system optimisation initiatives.

Key requirements:

Previous experience in a same or similar role, ideally with a manufacturing or industrial background

Extensive experience with switchboards, switch-rooms, and kiosk substations is a distinct advantage

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (RPEng/CPEng advantageous)

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial, modular, or energy sector electrical design

Solid understanding of AS3000, AS61439, AS/NZS 3439, and NCC compliance

Strong technical experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools

Proven ability to deliver high-quality documentation and project outcomes under tight timelines

Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working in a collaborative, high-performance team
