Principal Engineer Electricity Utilisation (permanent position)
Cannington, Western Australia (Hybrid)
Remuneration package of up to $264,302 per annum*
*Remuneration is based on salary ($165,719 - $179,499), superannuation and attraction and retention incentive (ARI) payments. ARI payments are subject to periodic review and approval. The ARI payment is set to expire on 30 June 2026. Extension of the ARI payment beyond that term is subject to further government decision.

The Role
The Principal Engineer Electricity Utilisation works with a team of officers undertaking the development of policies for electrical utilisation safety legislation and community education programs.
Liaise with a wide range of client groups such as, licencing authorities, licensees, employers, employees, utilities and power suppliers, government agencies, unions and industry organisations.
Leading the development of regulatory policy work.
Leading or assisting investigations into electrical safety incidents.
Assisting with compliance audits of electricity networks.
Qualifications & Licenses
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer.
Current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers’ licence or equivalent.
