Rostering plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the location by managing staff deployments and rostering. The Rostering team is responsible for creating multiple rosters, up to six weeks in advance to meet staffing and operational requirements.
About the Role:
The role of a Rostering Officer:
- Ensures the effective rostering and deployment of staff, ensuring adequate coverage to support effectiveoperations at the location.
- Maintains daily authorisations, backfill and manage employee data in Time Target.
- Responds to the rostering needs of operational/custodial staff who use Time Target at the location.
- Prepares Time Target reports (e.g Biometric Scan Compliance Report, Payroll Report, Leave Report andSAL Check Report) to complete relevant rostering tasks for management purposes).
Officers operate on a rotating 14-day roster, which involves weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provisions of the VPS Enterprise Agreement.
An integral part of working as part of the Rostering team is in-person presence at the location. The role will require the incumbent to regularly attend their usual place of work.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience and proficiency in the use of rostering based systems, such as TimeTarget/Humanforce or Kronos, and understanding of rostering principles for planning and maintaining multiple staff roster lines.
- Experience understanding and advising on enterprise awards and agreements as they relate to rostering.
- Knowledge and experience in rostering, human resource services and /or payroll processing.
