Client Support Officer – Temp to Perm | Lidcombe NSW (Relocating to Kemps Creek in 2026)
Our client, a national Distributor and 3PL Supply Chain provider based in Lidcombe, NSW, is a proud leader in the transport industry with strong, long-term partnerships with clients across Australia. They are now seeking a full-time Client Support Officer/Customer Service Representative to join their team.
Role Overview: This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their customer service skills. Whether you are new to the industry or have prior experience, training will be provided.
As a Client Support Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their transportation needs are met with professionalism, efficiency, and precision. You will manage inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships with both customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of customer service at all times
• Ensure all email correspondence is acknowledged and immediately instigate the necessary action for a timely resolution
• Maintain ownership of escalated inquiries and ensure a timely response and resolution is provided
• Generate reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Engage with key operational personnel as required to ensure customer requirements have been achieved
• Always communicate professionally to both internal and external stakeholders
• Assist the administration function as required
• Identify potential process improvements and escalate to direct report or delegated authority
• Work collaboratively with attention to detail and strong time management
Skills & Experience:
Previous customer service experience is essential.
A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-focused and professional mindset.
Intermediate MS Office skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Previous experience in road freight transport is not necessary but will be highly regarded.
Additional Information:
This is a TEMP-to-permanent, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
The role will primarily focus on customer support, including chasing PODs and resolving internal discrepancies.
Key Selection Criteria:
Strong computer skills and a good eye for detail.
A passion for customer service and a positive, professional demeanour.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Your own license and transport are required.
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Successful candidates will be asked to complete a National Police Check and a medical, which will be paid for by the employer.
