Junior Project Engineer – Launch Your Construction Career with a Leading Sydney Scaffolding Company
Are you a recent graduate with 6mths to 1 yrs experience in the Sydney construction market with either Civil or Structural Engineering degree and don’t want to be on site every day?
My client works within commercial scaffolding sector, is seeking a motivated Junior Project Engineer to join their supportive and collaborative team based in Hills District (Western Sydney).
This is your chance to work on impactful projects across Sydney, develop vital industry skills, and set the foundation for a successful engineering career.
Note:
- The role will be based in the office 75% of the time with site visits for client meeting , scaffolding tags , hand overs certs for remainder 25% etc.
- Office hours 7am - 3pm - Monday to Friday
Duties:
- Assist with project setup, scheduling, and coordinating resources to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in site inspections and communicate effectively with teams and clients.
- Support safety and quality assurance procedures, including documentation and safety protocols.
- Make AutoCAD modifications and collaborate with the design team to finalise drawings.
- Contribute to project reports, permits, and operational documentation.
- Engage in client meetings, record minutes, and follow up on actions.
- Provide general operational support to ensure project success.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to make amendments to drawings.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently or within a team.
- Min. 6 month to 1yr exp.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to office and sites across Sydney.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous internship or exposure to scaffolding or construction projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality assurance processes.
- Experience with project scheduling software or other CAD tools.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate project needs.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professional development.
- Willingness to travel within Sydney Metro and attend site visits as required.
- This is a Permanent role and will require the appropriate Australian Work rights.
