Civil Engineer - Newcastle

A Civil Engineer is required to join a leading Australian civil engineering consultancy in their Newcastle office. Due to an increase in projects and client requests, an intermediate Civil Engineer is required to join the land development and subdivision unit of the business, working on water, sewer, stormwater, earthworks, and more. This is a professional consultancy with an excellent culture working on high-profile developments.

Responsibilities

• Design of land development, subdivision, and infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, sewer, water, and earthworks.
• Support Project Managers and senior engineers by monitoring project performance, budgets, and timelines, and taking ownership of tasks where required.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants, clients, consultants, authorities, and project teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience in detailed design and documentation for roads, intersections, pavements, earthworks, and stormwater drainage.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles for urban development, subdivisions, and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in civil design software such as Civil 3D, 12D, AutoCAD, DRAINS, or MUSIC.
• Clear and confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively with clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
