The Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our growing organisation on a full time 12-month contract (maternity leave cover) with potential to extend.

Our ideal candidate would have relevant experience, a 'can do' attitude and an eagerness to learn various tasks.

Working within the Finance Team your responsibilities will include:

· Monitor and assist Accounts Payable

· Reconciliations

· Month-end closing and reporting

· Year-end financial process

· Cost analysis

· General administration

· Other duties as required

Skills and Experience

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

· Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance

· Minimum one year of accounting experience

· Xero software experience

· Strong attention to detail

· Strong computer skills and Excel skills

· Ability to work both in a team and independently

· Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn

· A Current Police Check or willingness to obtain
