The opportunity:
Join the team at our Lismore Medicare Mental Health Centre as the Senior Administration Officer who is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Medicare Mental Health Centre team, ensuring the smooth operation of services aimed at providing high-quality care to the Lismore Community.
In this role you will work with clinical and mental health staff, to maintain professional and confidential administrative services. Additionally, the Senior Administration Officer will support the Administration Officer in managing reception duties and facilitating efficient communication within the hub.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Support management in report preparation, document auditing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the Medical Software system and timely file management.
- Manage office tasks including supplies, property services liaison, and room bookings.
- Provide administrative support for business improvement projects, including meeting coordination and documentation.
- Assist the Administration Officer during peak periods and leaves with appointment bookings and client file management.

What we are looking for:
- Qualifications (certificate or diploma level) in a relevant discipline or demonstrated experience in an administrative role within a health setting that includes general practice and/or private allied health practice
- Strong organisational skills, capable of managing competing tasks and meeting deadlines independently.
- Demonstrated proactive approach to business improvement initiatives and exceptional customer service abilities.
- Team-oriented with a keen eye for detail and adaptability to changing environments.
- Familiarity with mental health and primary healthcare systems, including relevant legislation and knowledge of medical record systems preferred

- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to hold one
- Current Police Check (completed within the last three months)
