McArthur has proudly partnered with a highly regarded aged care provider to find an experienced Care Director for their residential facility in Bendigo. This role offers the chance to step into a pivotal leadership position within an organisation renowned for its commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and person-centred care.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Residential Aged Care Manager (RACM), the Care Director serves as second-in-command, leading all aspects of clinical care and governance. You will guide the care team in delivering best-practice services while shaping a high-performing, learning-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of resident care
• Partner with families to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care
• Lead clinical governance processes including audits, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Mentor, support, and develop nursing and care staff
• Manage clinical resources to ensure effective service delivery
• Collaborate on financial management and budget oversight
• Drive innovation in clinical care programs

About You

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in clinical care within a large residential aged care home
• Strong understanding of clinical compliance, governance, and care planning
• Proven ability to manage teams and budgets
• Passionate about improving lives and leading with integrity
• Open to learning and developing within a dynamic environment
