WINNER! 2025 ACM Maternity service of the year - My Midwives Alukura Midwifery Group Practice!!
We are very proud of our Alukura MGP and excited to be expanding our Team!
My Midwives is seeking passionate, endorsed midwives to join our expanding Alukura MGP team in Alice Springs. My Midwives works closely with the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (CAAC) and Alice Springs Hospital teams to support the care of First Nations women and families.
We are focused on developing midwives and as a member of our team you will be mentored into working as an endorsed midwife including supporting you to achieve credentialing with NT Health and gain admitting rights to Alice Springs Hospital. Congress Alukura was first established in 1986 and in 2023 My Midwives, in partnership with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress and the Molly Wardaguga Research Centre at CDU, commenced the Alukura MGP Practice—a model of care grounded in First Nations culture clinical excellence. This model is more than just maternity care; it is about walking alongside First Nations women and their families, offering them the nurturing, continuous support of private midwifery care while honouring the wisdom of Grandmother’s Law.
