Our client, a respected government fleet services provider, is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Spare Parts Interpreter to join their team on a 6-month contract based in Greenacre, with potential for extension based on performance and suitability.

Reporting to the Fleet Stores Supervisor, this role is critical in supporting the mechanical store operations, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely procurement of heavy vehicle spare parts.

Your new role

To provide comprehensive receipt, dispatch, inventory management, and delivery services for the mechanical store, with a strong focus on interpreting and sourcing heavy vehicle spare parts.
Key Accountabilities:

• Manage receipt, storage, and distribution of mechanical parts and emergency equipment
• Interpret customer requirements and advise on suitable parts and accessory options
• Source and procure parts to meet fleet servicing demands
• Maintain inventory control systems and generate reports
• Raise requisitions and purchase orders to maintain stock levels
• Maintain accurate records and databases for inventory and dispatch
• Support vehicle refurbishment programs and emergency store operations

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in heavy vehicle spare parts interpretation
• Strong administrative skills, particularly in procurement and inventory systems
• Familiarity with government or fleet operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
