The Opportunity

The Role

As the EL1 Financial Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare monthly financial reports, annual financial statements and Portfolio Budget Statements, including interpreting accounting standards
• Oversee the financial operations function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end processes and credit card management, while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Liaise with external auditors, supporting internal audits and manage insurance, risk functions
• Support the audit committee by preparing quarterly paperwork and providing secretariat support

The Ideal Person

You are likely to come from one of the following backgrounds:

• Senior Consultant, Manager or above in a Big 4 or second-tier consulting firm, with experience supporting Federal Government clients in financial reporting
• Senior Consultant, Manager or above in a Big 4 or other audit firm, with experience conducting financial audits for Federal Government clients
• Experienced EL1 Financial Accountant with strong financial operations and reporting knowledge, team management experience and a record of stable tenure

Ideally, you will be an experience financial accountant or financial auditor at the EL1 equivalent level with a sound understanding of financial operations and experience preparing Portfolio Budget Statements, and use of CBMS.

Salary / Rate

• $118k - $130k + 15.4% Super
