Wongai 4wd Hire is the leading Brisbane based 4wd hire company exclusively dealing with Toyota Landcruiser's and Landcruiser Prado's. No two days are the same, and you will be working with an experienced team, learning the basics of detailing, vehicle finishing, vehicle checks and progressing to other automotive tasks and responsibilities.

If you like heading bush, beach driving and are passionate about 4wd's, this is the job for you. Prove to us your ability to get stuck in, work hard and your desire to progress, and we will offer you the opportunity to get involved in new sides of the business, teach you how to check and test drive vehicles, train you in customer interactions and involve you in off road and vehicle recoveries.

What does that mean?

Responsibility to make sure all vehicles leave the workshop spotless: This includes advancing your detailing knowledge, the use of small hand tools to install roof racks, roof top tents and side awnings for beach holidays.

Growth and training into the automotive industry, we will take entry level to intermediate car detailers or people with a passion to get involved in the industry and teach them the next steps on how to complete vehicle checks, to change oil, test drive vehicles and working with our experienced team.

Adventure and variety with us is guaranteed, you be involved in taking replacement vehicles to customers on off-shore Islands (Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island) relocating and moving parts to our Hervey Bay workshop and we will teach you everything you need to know as you progress in the business.

What Experience is Required?

This is an entry level position - no experience is required but a passion for off road driving and or camping will be looked at favourably.

Some previous detailing or workshop experience is a bonus.

Ability to deal well with people is important.

Some previous travel experience and interest in travel is a bonus.

What experience will help you stand out?

4wd Knowledge, beach driving experience, Island Knowledge and general bush skills.

A friendly and can-do attitude, particularly when dealing with customers.

Experience in detailing or previous workshop experience (not required but a bonus).
