Local Earthmoving Equipment leader is currently expanding on its workshop team and are looking to find proven experienced workshop staff that have proven capabilities to add value through technical troubleshooting and providing expert advice through a hands on approach. The business operates internationally and they are growing at seriously fast pace. With a strong construction equipment product line you’re going to be working on heavy construction equipment ranging from 1 tonne to 120 tonne.

OPPORTUNITY –

This role has two key areas that you’re going to be required to cover the first part is assembling new machines from containers and working through schematics and assembling the new equipment. This will include hydraulic lines, safety equipment, lubrication systems, access entries, electronics, main frame work and any customised upgrades like cages or attachments. The second part will be working on machines that have been used by customers that have come in due to major repairs or yearly checks. You need to have the following experience to cover this role.

Here are the Job Duties –

Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.

Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing key procedures.

Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.

Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.

Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.

Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.

Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.

Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

· Heavy Duty diesel tickets

· Strong hydraulics experience

· Minimum 2 years’ experience working on mobile construction or related equipment

We are looking to offer the following hourly rate of $50:00phr + Super. Huge amounts of overtime. The offering comes with penalties.
