As the Senior Property Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the department's property assets are effectively maintained and managed. You will oversee day-to-day operations of property facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. This includes developing and implementing maintenance schedules, managing lease agreements, and monitoring service delivery for cleaning, security, and other facility services. You will also oversee the management of the department's vehicle fleet, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting.

In this role, you will develop and implement property management plans, policies, and procedures, while ensuring budgets and expenditures are managed effectively and in line with financial guidelines. Regular inspections of properties will be conducted to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards and you will develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with property and facility operations.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be critical to your success. You will act as the primary point of contact for property-related enquiries, provide expert advice to senior management and collaborate with other government agencies to share resources and best practices. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of long-term property and asset management strategies and monitor key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement.

We are looking for a candidate with exceptional communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, who is committed to fostering a collaborative and highperforming work environment. Experience in property and facility management is highly regarded, as is a growth mindset and the ability to engage with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by contributing to the effective management of property assets that support the department's mission. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes and thrive in a dynamic and inclusive workplace, we encourage you to apply.
