
Senior Property Officer

As the Senior Property Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the department's property assets are effectively maintained and managed. You will oversee day-to-day operations of property facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. This includes developing and implementing maintenance schedules, managing lease agreements, and monitoring service delivery for cleaning, security, and other facility services. You will also oversee the management of the department's vehicle fleet, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting.
In this role, you will develop and implement property management plans, policies, and procedures, while ensuring budgets and expenditures are managed effectively and in line with financial guidelines. Regular inspections of properties will be conducted to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards and you will develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with property and facility operations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be critical to your success. You will act as the primary point of contact for property-related enquiries, provide expert advice to senior management and collaborate with other government agencies to share resources and best practices. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of long-term property and asset management strategies and monitor key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement.
