About the Role
As the Scheduling Team Leader, you will oversee and coordinate staffing and rostering for Life Care’s clients. In this newly created role, you will lead a team of Scheduling Support Officers, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and in line with compliance, quality, and organisational standards. This is a key role for someone who thrives on organisation, problem-solving, and supporting others in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Develop and maintain rosters, ensuring client needs are met with the right staff and skills
Ensure compliance with industrial awards, agreements, and aged care legislation
Forecast staffing needs and plan for peak periods and staff leave
Support, coach, and provide guidance to Scheduling Support Officers
Act as a point of contact for staff with roster queries or concerns
Liaise with Case Managers, clients, and families to ensure service quality
Monitor scheduling KPIs, identify trends, and recommend improvements
Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to policies and standards
Foster a positive team culture and continuous improvement mindset
Provide backup support to payroll as required, including processing and verification of rostering/timesheet inputs
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, or workforce coordination
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and support a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach
High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability
Competency with Microsoft Office and scheduling systems
Experience supporting payroll processes (timesheets, roster/pay alignment, basic processing)
