Your Role

UPT is currently seeking to fill the position of Body Builder/ Welder / Boilermaker.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for working in a highly industrial manufacturing environment with the aim of ensuring customer satisfaction through attention to detail and continuous improvement ensuring quality.

Key Responsibilities:

As a, Semi Trailer Body Builder/ Welder / Boilermaker, you will play a crucial role in constructing and assembling a range of semi-trailers, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards.

Fabricate and assemble trailer bodies, including structural components.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.

Inspect and check finished trailer bodies to guarantee they meet all quality standards.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure the efficient and timely completion of projects.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

Ability to innovate and contribute to business growth and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Qualified vehicle body builder / welder / Boilermaker.

Maintaining timing, efficiency and high quality standards

Experience as a Semi Trailer Body Builder or similar role in the manufacturing industry preferred.

Strong knowledge of materials, consumables, tools, and techniques used in trailer body construction.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines.

Effective communication with colleagues and supervisors to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.

Proficiency in various welding techniques, such as MIG is essential

The ability to identify and solve fabrication - related problems and challenges is valuable in this role.

Precision and attention to detail are critical for ensuring that trailer bodies meet safety and UPT High quality standards.
