We’re currently recruiting for two quality lead roles, a Quality Team Lead and a Quality Performance Manager/Auditor for our client, a global leader in defence engineering and manufacturing.

Both are full-time, permanent, fully onsite positions based in Canberra, ACT offering long-term career growth and high-impact leadership responsibilities in a defence-grade manufacturing environment. The roles pay $125K–$135K + 14% Super.

Roles and Responsibilities
Quality Team Lead:

• Lead and mentor a team of quality officers, inspectors and technicians
• Coordinate NCRs, implement corrective actions, and prepare quality documents, records and reports
• Develop and implement quality training programs while supervising the quality inspection team
• Manage staffing issues and employee relations in line with company policies

Quality Performance Manager/Auditor:

• Oversee quality processes and conduct internal audits, monitoring for non-conformance trends and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented
• Develop and implement quality strategy plans, policies, SOPs, and documentation
• Monitor KPIs and analyse statistical data using quality management software to improve compliance
• Conduct risk assessments, address potential quality issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality, Business, Management, Mathematics, or prior experience in a similar role
• Proven leadership experience in quality assurance or auditing within a manufacturing/production environment
• Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing is strongly preferred; exposure to mechanical components is also valuable
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, tools and relevant ISO standards

NOTE: To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance.
