As the Visitor Experience Officer, you will work as part of the front of house operations team to ensure a welcoming, safe and accessible environment for all visitors to the Community Education Precinct Library.

You’ll assist in managing collections and supporting public programs, events, and other projects as required, working across a seven-day rotational roster, including weekends.

About Library & Archives NT

Library & Archives NT (LANT) is the Northern Territory’s ‘State’ Library and Archives service. We collect and preserve the documentary heritage of the Northern Territory, including original government and community archive collections. LANT holds an extensive oral history collection, published collections in print and digital form, including books, newspapers, periodicals, and thousands of image collections. We enable access to these collections, to share the Northern Territory’s rich and unique history, through research access, events, exhibitions, education programs and online.

About You

You’re a customer-oriented individual and enjoy interacting with community members. To be successful you’ll have:

Proven experience in a customer service environment with the ability to provide positive and responsive experiences

Well-developed social and communication skills to and ability to follow written procedures

Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds.

Strong computer literacy skills with the ability learn and use a range of technologies to support visitors
