About the role

Café Catalina is seeking an Experienced Bar & Floor Section Wait Person to join our vibrant hospitality team in Southport, QLD. This is a part-time or fulltime position, offering flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our lively café. A management role may be considered depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

Providing attentive and friendly table service to our customers

Taking food and beverage orders, communicating them accurately to the kitchen and bar staff

Serving food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner

Handling cash and card payments efficiently

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the dining and bar areas

Assisting with stock replenishment and other daily operational tasks as required

What we're looking for

At least 6 years of experience working in a similar bar and floor service role within the hospitality industry, will be considered for a management position if you have all round F&B experience including a great knowledge of wine?

Minimum 5-6 years of relevant bar and floor service experience is required for the standard wait person position

Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a warm and friendly experience

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Good knowledge of food and beverage offerings, and the ability to make recommendations to customers

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification

A positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude

Current Australian work rights are essential

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
