HSE Manager - Cairns
Permanent | $140-$160k + Super

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental functions for a growing commercial construction business based in Cairns. This is a permanent, site-based role-no FIFO.

What you will do:

• Lead the HSE function and provide guidance to leadership and project teams.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and systems.
• Ensure compliance with Queensland HSE legislation and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Monitor HSE performance and implement improvement initiatives.
• Deliver HSE training and foster a positive safety culture across the business.
• Support incident management and reporting processes.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years' experience in HSE management, ideally in commercial construction.
• Tertiary qualification in HSE, Engineering, or related field; Cert IV WHS minimum.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland HSE legislation and industry standards.
• Proven ability to implement HSE systems and drive cultural change.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
