As our new Procurement Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening procurement frameworks, building capability, and driving transparent, value-for-money outcomes across the City.
This is more than process work it’s about influence. You’ll ensure procurement practices are consistent, probity-led, and fit for purpose, while coaching leaders and officers to apply them with confidence.
What you’ll do

• Maintain and improve the City’s procurement frameworks, systems, and templates to ensure compliance, transparency, and efficiency.
• Provide expert advice as the first point of contact on procurement requirements and best practice.
• Design and deliver training, workshops, and tools that build organisational capability.
• Monitor compliance, analyse risks and audit findings, and recommend improvements.
• Benchmark the City’s procurement practices against peers, applying insights to enhance performance.

About you
You bring experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining procurement frameworks in a regulated environment. You’re confident advising on compliance, probity, and governance, and you know how to translate policy into practice through coaching and capability-building.
Professional certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS) is desirable but what matters most is your expertise, problem-solving ability, and skill in building trust and capability across an organisation.
